See a doctor again, this time an ortohopaedic specialist. Ibuprofen is not enough strong in such kind of pains. Seeing and physiotherapist in such condition is not good at all. This is an advice from a person with a long history of back pains. Seriuos ones. But first of all - be back soon with us. B...

Well, I have enjoyed reading them (not all yet). Easy to read. For me it is a good complement to the movies - some aspects are well developped in the books, in particular Harper caracter and Sharpe-Harper friendship - it is well but not fully depicted in the series - for example in the books they ta...

Nobody. As for movies. But I am an opera fan so I have a (not large) number of singers I would (almost) die for. I think I am allowed, SB has no competitors in his area. ;-) Who do you like, Gillian? I also love music (classic and opera as well!), so I'm interested in it! And its true - Sean hasn't...

From Sharpe's Revenge Sharpe and Frederickson discussing the man who married the "pig-faced woman": "... it would be like going to bed with Sargeant Harper" Frederickson grimaced. Sharpe smiled, "You've never been tempted William?' "By Sergeant Harper? Don't be impertinent." Love this book, mostly b...

First I have seen all Sharpe's TV episodes than I have read the books, my main reason being to "improve my English" - the Cornwell books are quite easy to read once you manage some military vocabulary (not so useful) and swearing (very useful). I admit I loved both Gold book and TV episode. The TV s...

I've just found an article on Glasgow, UK, on Uncyclopedia. Sorry if that has been already posted. Sean Bean on his travels in Glasgow "Following a rather dry spell following my huge success in Sharpe, I found myself offered a part in a play. The part was that of a homeless beggar, and being a prope...

Truly loved the short story, as well your's Sharpe's Antonia.
The subject is not very in Cornwell scheme. But, when reading his novels I've got really tired with this battalion of ladies (they did quite a good job when making TV series).
I wanted to read something really comforting. Thank you.
