The part in the book where Sharpe gets ambushed, overpowered, beaten and almost killed in this book was 'edge o...

Happy for you Marigold ;-)
I agree Morv. In my language (Afrikaans) we have a saying " Elke pot het 'n deksel" directly translated - "Every pot has a lid" ... although i'm not sure i'm looking for a lid anymore :-D

;-) You're welcome, I wish I had better news.

(Allow me an off topic correction on the 'Kobra' post. I read the tweets again and misunderstood that he just finished writing it, when in fact it was the book that he launched a few weeks ago )

I have been following Deon Meyer on Twitter for a while now specifically to ask him about the Devils Peak / 13 hour Trilogy. I sent him a Tweet yesterday and to my surprise I actually got a reply from him. I sent the message in Afrikaans so i'll translate. (Sorry don't know how to attach a twitter U...

You can see them either in 'news' or in 'current projects'. Govi used to maintain a page on the TMB website for projects in the pipeline, but it is not completely up to date now. Kizzy Thanks, Kizzy! I'll be interested in knowing how many "in the pipeline" projects have actually gotten made. Of cou...

Hmm that's all fair and well... we know Sean has signed for film productions of the books, but so far talk seems to be all they're doing. Funding problems perhaps ?? Deon Meyer doesn't live far from me and he must be feeling the economic crunch so I won't be surprised if that is what the hold up is....

Thx Toastie - so it was a 7 minute short film, that really was short heh. Yeah I don't think the ones Sean missed was really anything he would cry about.
His movie offers has improved by leaps and bounds, really good material since then and gets better with every movie he makes. :runaround:

Oh okay, so Drumhead wasn't a movie it was a reading. That's why I couldn't find anything but Star Trek...knew that would be a bit far fetched
