Another Light Lost

Post by loucifer67 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:06 pm

It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of our good friend Govi
Moominpa found out that she passed away on the 14th very peacefully with her husband Jan by her side.

Another candle extinguished in our community

Her cremation will be held on the 19th in Rotterdam (Same day as Mooms in the UK)

I can't help but smile sadly as I think that we will now gather to celebrate both their lives as we come together on the same day to say goodbye.

United in friendship till the very end. So much so they will get to torment St Peter at the pearly gates together

Rest in Peace Carol

You will be missed

Your friend

Lou, the friendly ghost

The loss of Carol & Jeanne is going to be felt for a very, very long time. They became the best of friends and their journey together has not ended. The heavens are going to be filled with mirth and merriment.... Thanks for ALL the memories and you'll be in my heart until we meet again. :flower: :flower:

Am really very saddened to hear of Carol's passing. I never met her but we messaged each other on this site and she was always warm, helpful and friendly. Love and condolences to all her family.

[center]Winter Butterfly

A Fleeting glimpse dashed past my window on the world
Briefest blur of summer brightness
Gone as soon as it was given
Red mosaic wings against grey winter hues
A winter butterfly flutters on
Oblivious to its incongruity

Spied a bee yesterday
Its actions as rare and as delicate as the bloom it studied
Its brightness and lust for life will sadly be removed
As cold frost and northern breeze will have the last laugh
Wiped clean by seasonal indifference
Whilst we wait for the earth to be warmed by summer sun once more.

Sleep well my little Butterfly
Dreams of Spring will come again

My deepest sympathies to Carol's whole family for their loss.
Isn't it an irony of fate that Mooms and Govi both will be remembered and honored at the same day? I can't help myself but I like the idea that they are both together now somewhere "...into the west..." Perhaps a very little consolation for both families. I'll pray for them all.
RIP Carol :flower: Thank you for everything you did here for us at TMB. You made it such a warm, welcoming place.
Thanks to Isabel and Govi for my avatar.

I have been with them on the forum since the beginning. I always told them they must've been twins born of different mothers. My world is a little less bright today. And if their spirits are together somewhere, yes, they are drinking, eating, laughing and composing some mighty fine VigBean fics.

So sad that we have lost our Govi. I never met her in person but five years here on TMB has made me feel as if I knew her. My sympathies to Govi's family and to all my TMB sisters.

So upset to hear this news today, especially coming so soon after the loss of dear Mooms. I seem to be doing a lot of crying lately....

Dearest Carol, such an amazing person, so full of energy and life, so generous with her time and enthusiasm in giving us all this wonderful site. She certainly made my world a better place over the past five years. I can't believe she is no longer with us.

All my love and sympathy goes to Jan and the rest of Carol's family and all her many many friends around the world.
