New Year Beanfest

Post by southernbelle » Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:43 pm

The Xmas Beanfest is now the New Year Beanfest. Here's the details.

We will be meeting on Saturday 31st January and 4 of us are booked into a hotel in Cambridge.

http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_ ... tel_id=255

Maybe not the most attractive hotel in Cambridge but central and staggering distance from the city centre.

Donnadoobie, Lotte, Mandy and myself are all booked in and ready to go.

If anyone else wants to join us the more the merrier!

Only 3 weeks to go :runaround:

I've just been looking up restaurants in the area and there are quite a few situated in the cambridge leisure park where the travelodge is.

There is a:
Bella Italia
Blue Spice (indian)
Frankie & Benny's
Lucky Star (chinese)
Nando's
Pizza Hut

I'd be happy to eat at any of these. Does anyone else have a preference? Maybe we could book a table in advance?

All are fine for me but would probably prefer it not to be pizza hut (not a huge pizza fan) but if that's the favourite choice I'll go with the flow!!

Donna that's fine. We can narrow down a bit more.

Mandy, Frankie & Benny's does steak

It also does Italian, English and American.

Would that be any good?

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this (had a busy weekend) but as you probably all suspected I'm easy and will eat anything! :-D :-D

BTW is this for lunch or dinner on the Saturday?? And what time is everyone planning on arriving? I could be in Cambridge by 12-ish, but I know we can't check in to the hotel until 3pm.

Can't wait to meet you all!! :runaround: :cheer: :cheer:

I am planning to travel by train and there is a train about every hour from here to Cambridge so I can get there whenever most people are arriving.
