YORK TMB MEETING 2009

Post by Macpy » Tue Jan 06, 2009 7:56 pm

So here we are again, a year ago we were already busy planning Sheffield 2008.
Time to start planning our next TMB meeting, this time in York. :cheer:

First of all we need someone who could do some scoutwork again, see about accommodations etc. Is someone of our dear TMB ladies close to York to have a look? That would be a great start!

Lets start planning

As i won't be staying with you, i think it would be better for someone else to look and book accomodation.

If you are looking at York Uni, they have just built new accomodation, so it will be similar to sheffield

Mooms kindly sent me this link about the uni in York:
http://www.york.ac.uk/admin/uao/ugrad/s ... mdates.htm

Looks like the uni wont break till 3rd of July.

That means that If we are thinking of staying in the uni it would bring us into the months of July and August for our meeting.

Lets try to find out which month is best for us all. Please continue the list! Yeah I can do lists again! :runaround:

Macpy / July (weeks from 6-17th and maybe 27-31st would be best for me)

I'll probably only be able to visit in the evenings as last year. So will fit in with everyone else.

I would volunteer to do the reccy as I'm probably the next closest to York, but I cant fit in with work and childcare. Really Sorry.

July 6-24th won't be possible for me at all because my colleague is on holiday and I have to be present. Anything from July 27th would be fine for me! :-D

Not really!  Just our friend's son, who we've known all his life is marrying a Greek girl! It's exciting, but I wouldn't choose to be there at that time, as I don't do heat and will probably melt! The wedding is at night, though, when it should be marginally cooler! :-D

How can anybody marry in Greece July/August?! The hottest months! Poor Mooms!

Looks like we are having trouble already finding some suitable dates!

I might be able to do August 10-14 but only that one week but I am not sure yet, sorry!
