Turner Water Colour

Post by morvgal58 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:07 pm

A lost watercolour by JMW Turner will be sold at a charity auction next month in Jodhpur, Northern India at the Mehrangargh Fort and is expected to
go for £500,000. It depicts the Siege of Seringapatam in 1799. As we all know that Richard was there, and heavily involved in the ensuing battle, maybe Sean or Bernard Cornwell will bid for it!

I would love to see the painting somewhere....
I 've been a huge fan of Turner's art since my youth. He was well ahead of his time I think. I was able to admire some of his paintings in London. Still one of my favourite painters.
