The alternatives I know about are:
Flickr
https://www.flickr.com/
SlickPic
https://www.slickpic.com/
(I've read that they reduce the picture size on free accounts, though.)
Imgur
http://imgur.com/
(But I've read conflicting stories as to whether Imgur allows embedding photos on other sites, so I guess you would have to research to see if they actually do or not.)

Hi Everyone
Janice has been in touch about the photobucket fuckery going on
Now I can delete all the icons on the board so that the bandwidth pic does not come up
Most of the pics I've posted in the past are on slickpics and if anyone would like access to them then let me know. I think I can remember my password
I'll try and source and save new icons over the weekend
Lou

Photobucket recently announced a reprieve with regard to displaying pics on websites until the end of December 2018 for people with Plus accounts. Maybe their lawyers advised them that changing the terms of service for paying members would make them subject to lawsuits.

That is VERY interesting! They must have had a deluge of negative feedback - and rightly so, the s---s.

That is great news Janice, and a "stroll" through the old DB's is where I am heading right now! Although Photobucket will never get my support again, as their behaviour was unforgivable.

It was unforgivable indeed. But at least they've finally come to their senses.
Now if only they'd change things so that it's possible to right-click and save photos again. Currently when I try do that with any picture that's hosted on Photobucket, I get a fake image file that's really an html file. Yet saving Slickpic pictures using that method is no problem at all. I do have a workaround that I use with Photobucket pictures, but it's extra trouble.
