Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand wind that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in cirkling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.
Lovely words hun
Lou

I would like to share my favorite comforting words:
“Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!”
(Henry Scott Holland)
RIP Jeanne - my deepest sympathies to her family and friends

From Carol (posted on Live Journal)
Goodbye dear friend
I still can't believe you are no longer here and died before I did
We first really met in 2005 and from then we were in contact every day. We wrote together, laughed and cried together. The bestfriend one could wish for
I miss you every minute of the day my dear friend. Sleep well and rest in peace, dearest mooms

I'm sad, but happy, but sad, you know? Another angel free of pain who reached out virtually to all of us!

so sad but a beautiful lady who brought much love and fun to the world.
I've sat and thought of her as I listened to Annie Lennox sing "Into the West" from the ROTK.....very poignant but uplifting as well
With love to Jeanne's family and the many who will miss her

Such sad news but I do believe Mooms is now at peace. She will be looking down on all of us as a special Angel from heaven. I never got to meet this special lady but sending special blessings to her family for comforting and healing as well for all of those here who had the opportunity to meet her.
For everyone
Marnie

Special Thanks to Govi for the fabulous sigpic

Although I am way off in California, I send my condolences.
In our love of Sean we have become a "family" and we will all miss you
and think of you often.

To those of you that were able to attend today - thank you so much for coming. We feel mum had a great send off and Viggo and Sean went into the coffin with her. A great tribute to mum and Carol I think :)
When my wifi starts working I will try and post the pics for you all.
Thanks again for all your donations - we have raised over £2000 for the hospice which is amazing.
Finally, thanks for your friendship - I know that dad has been overwhelmed by the response from the community as have we all. It's a great comfort to know how much she was loved
Peace and light to you all
Helen
